SC/ST CELL
The SC/ST cell of Farook College (Autonomous) is instituted to empower the SC/ST students in the college. The college takes a special interest in providing a platform for the students to voice their concerns and actively address them. It also ensures that the teaching and non-teaching faculty avoid any discriminatory actions or behaviour against SC/ST students of the college. The Cell helps the students fully utilize benefits from the State Government and Government of India schemes and organizes interactive sessions to raise awareness about various government and non-government scholarship programmes to ensure students have access to these opportunities.
OBJECTIVES

Monitor and address any instances of caste-based discrimination on the campus.

Counsel and guide SC/ST students in managing academic and personal issues effectively

Ensure a safe and secure environment for all SC/ST students.

Provide immediate counselling for any emotional crises arising from campus events and interactions.

Implement a mechanism to address the grievances of SC/ST students.

Ensure constitutional protections and reservations for SC/ST students.

Arrange special opportunities to enhance career growth.

Sensitise SC/ST students about various scholarship programmes offered by the State Government and UGC.
