Department Profile

Department of Commerce and Management Studies is the largest department of Farook College (Autonomous). It was established in 1951 with a clearly defined approach for creating high-calibre, managers and business owners in tune with the requirements of the corporate sector. With a focus on finance, the department offers B. Com, BBA, and M. Com degrees. Additionally, a Ph.D. degree in commerce is offered. These programmes are especially made to expand and improve employment options and help spread theoretical and practical knowledge in the relevant fields.

The department has become a benchmark for excellence by adopting best practices in teaching -learning curriculum, peer mentoring, engaging with the local community, publishing research papers and offering suitable bridge courses to students who do not major in commerce as well as providing skill-enhancement training. By blending conventional lecture delivery methods with group projects, discussions, and debates, case-based teaching, etc. This Department has come of age and has become a model for innovative teaching. The Department does its best to provide the cutting-edge commerce education that places our students on par with international standards. This is done through a variety of quality initiatives, cutting-edge academic methods, and extracurricular opportunities.
