The Statistical Consultancy Service was formed in the Department of Statistics in association with Statistics Alumni Association , Farook College in 2015. Statistical analyses of academic projects of Ph.D, M.Phil, M.Tech, MSc, MBA, M.Pharm, etc are taken up and completed successfully.

Earlier in 2012-13, the Statistical Survey for Estimation of Coconut Production in Kozhikode District, a project of Coconut Development Board, Kerala was partly taken up by the department and was completed successfully by the degree final year students as part of their project. The Coconut Survey has been continued for the following three academic years; 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17. Further, in 2017 the Project for Assessment of Survival Percentage of Saplings distributed by Social Forestry, Kozhikode Division was also entrusted with the department and completed successfully.
