It was established in 1951 with a clearly defined approach for creating high-calibre, managers and business owners in tune with the requirements of the corporate sector. With a focus on finance, the department offers B. Com, BBA, and M. Com degrees. Additionally, a Ph.D. degree in commerce is offered. These programmes are especially made to expand and improve employment options and help spread theoretical and practical knowledge in the relevant fields.</p> <p>The department has become a benchmark for excellence by adopting best practices in teaching -learning curriculum, peer mentoring, engaging with the local community, publishing research papers and offering suitable bridge courses to students who do not major in commerce as well as providing skill-enhancement training. By blending conventional lecture delivery methods with group projects, discussions, and debates, case-based teaching, etc. This Department has come of age and has become a model for innovative teaching. The Department does its best to provide the cutting-edge commerce education that places our students on par with international standards. This is done through a variety of quality initiatives, cutting-edge academic methods, and extracurricular opportunities.
