Social Orbit
Social orbit is a Peer - Reviewed Annual Research Journal published by Publications Division, Farook College (Autonomous), Kozhikode since 2015.
The first issue of Social orbit was released by Dr. P.K. Michael Tharakan, Social scientist and former Vice Chancellor, Kannur University by handing over the journal to Dr. M. Usman, General secretary, Principal's Council of Kerala on 9th February 2016.
The Founder Editor of Social orbit is Dr. M.R. Manmathan, Associate Professor, Dept. of History, University of Calicut. Present Editor is Dr. Abdul Nisar M., Assistant Professor, Dept. of History, Farook College (Autonomous). The journal publishes original contributions on all facts of social science. It accepts only learned contributions - research papers, review reports, plans and proposals, system designs and models etc. Every paper submitted for publication is peer - reviewed by academics /expert professionals in the field of social sciences. Copyright of all papers published or accepted for publication in Social orbit will be with the publisher. Only after plagiarism checking and strict quality checking, articles will be considered for publication.
Promoting the writing skills of teachers as the primary objective, Social orbit has been working through a seven pillar programme in the areas of Faculty Development, Student Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment, Industry-Institute Interaction, Digital Empowerment and Research & Publications.
In the last 7 years, Social Orbit has been striving on every aspect to provide a holistic service to every stakeholder of the education ecosystem in developing the next generation of talent pool in India to make them socially responsible writers and leaders.
