The Department of Zoology established in 1957 offers undergraduate, post-graduate and research programmes in Zoology. Wild Life Biology gets prime focus among other optionals for the post-graduate programme and it is the only centre in Kerala where the above specialization is offered. The Department is a recognized research centre under the University of Calicut.
