Institutional Values

Continuous improvement: As a policy of our higher education institution, we are firmly committed to the principle of continuous improvement in all aspects of our institution, which is essential to maintaining the highest standards of quality and ensuring that our students receive the best possible education. To achieve this, we have put in place a system of regular reviews of all our programmes and services. These reviews are designed to identify areas where we can improve and to develop strategies for implementing these changes effectively. We also encourage feedback from our students, faculty, and staff to help us identify areas where we can make improvements and make changes. These changes may include updates to our curriculum, improvements to our facilities and technology, and the development of new programmes and services to meet the evolving needs of our students. Excellence in research: We are committed to conducting high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and addresses real-world problems. Our faculty and staff are encouraged to pursue research that has practical applications and contributes to the well-being of society.

Ethical and responsible behaviour: As a policy of our higher education institution, we firmly believe in upholding the highest standards of ethical and responsible behaviour in all of our activities. Our commitment to this policy is rooted in our belief that honesty, integrity, and transparency are critical to maintaining the trust of our community. To achieve this, we have established guidelines and protocols that all faculty, staff, and students are expected to follow. These guidelines include promoting diversity and inclusion, respecting the rights and dignity of others, and maintaining confidentiality when necessary. We also recognise that ethical behaviour extends beyond our institution and into the wider community. As such, we encourage our students, faculty, and staff to engage in community service and outreach activities that promote responsible behaviour and ethical decision-making.

Collaboration and engagement: We are committed to fostering a culture of collaboration and engagement by actively seeking feedback and input from our stakeholders. This includes our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the wider community. We recognise the importance of partnerships and strive to engage in mutually beneficial collaborations that support our institution and the broader community. Our partnerships include academic collaborations, community outreach programmes, and partnerships with local businesses and organisations. Moreover, we encourage our students, faculty, and staff to engage in community service and other activities that benefit society. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact and contribute to the greater good.

Quality initiatives and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

To continuously improve quality through 'enhancement' and sustain the good work of the institution, the college has a fully functional Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Farook College plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of education and overall performance improvement of the college. The IQAC facilitates the process of internalising quality by creating internal awareness of quality issues and establishing credibility for external quality evaluation. To track our progress and identify areas for improvement, the IQAC submits annual quality assurance reports to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as self-reviewed progress reports. This helps us to stay accountable and continually strive towards enhancing the quality of education we offer. Through regular evaluations and assessments, the IQAC identifies areas for improvement and takes necessary measures to enhance the quality of education and overall performance of the institution. Additionally, the IQAC also ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines related to quality assurance. The IQAC's efforts in establishing a culture of quality and performance improvement are critical to our institution's success. By facilitating the internalisation of quality, promoting internal awareness on quality issues, and establishing credibility for external quality evaluation, we aim to provide our students with a top-notch education that prepares them for success in their careers.
