Minority Cell

The Minority Cell of Farook College (Autonomous) is dedicated to empowering minority communities and addressing their educational and cultural needs alongside those of other groups. The Cell basically helps minority students including Christian, Muslim, Jain, Buddhists etc. for their academic development. Its core mission is to promote the academic growth of students from minority committees and encourage their involvement in career-oriented programmes. The Minority Cell also facilitates financial support through various governmental and external funding sources. It provides essential services such as counselling, personality development, communication skills enhancement, remedial coaching, and preparatory classes for professional and employment purposes.

OBJECTIVES

  • Create a safe and secure environment for minority students.

  • Facilitate financial support for minority students from government and other sources.

  • Raise awareness about state and central government scholarship programmes.

  • Ensure constitutional protections and reservations for minority students.

  • Encourage enrolment in career-oriented programs to equip students with the necessary skills.

  • Enhance equal educational opportunities for minority students.

  • Follow up on government and UGC objectives for minority education.

  • Provide prompt counselling for emotional challenges on campus.
