ICC

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Farook College (Autonomous) handles cases of sexual harassment involving students or employees at the college and provides mechanisms for resolving such incidents. The committee promotes inclusiveness and mutual respect and upholds a strict policy of zero tolerance towards any form of sexual harassment. The committee is dedicated to creating a secure atmosphere for the college community and strives to promote a culture of respect, dignity and empathy, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of any instances of sexual harassment.

OBJECTIVES

• To prevent and prohibit an act of sexual harassment or misconduct of the employees and students at the college, whether physical, verbal, or nonverbal.

• To uphold the commitment of the college to ensure a safe environment for all the students, teaching, and non-teaching staff, irrespective of gender.

• To manage the reception and resolution of complaints concerning sexual harassment and these complaints with care, ensuring confidentiality and fairness.

• To conduct educational programmes, workshops, and seminars to inform the campuscommunity about their rights and responsibilities and to prevent harassment.

• To sensitize the college community about the penal consequences of sexual harassment.

• To ensure the institution’s adherence to all pertinent laws and policies related to harassment and discrimination, including the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act.
