'The Decision' Campaign: Combating Drug Abuse for Mental Health Awareness

Farook College: In commemoration of Mental Health Awareness Week, Farook College's Department of Psychology joined forces with the Anti-Drug Cell to conduct the impactful 'The Decision' Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign. The session, held in the UG seminar hall, garnered a full house of 107 students from diverse departments. The event commenced at 2:30 PM on October 12, 2022, with Dr. Nisha K, Head of the Department of Psychology, delivering a warm welcome.

Ms. Rahana Moideen Koya, Convenor of the Anti-Drug Cell, presided over the function. Mr. B. Harikumar, District Coordinator of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, shared his experiences with the police force, highlighting the grave consequences of drug and alcohol abuse. The audience was captivated and moved by the stories of victims and survivors. The session concluded at 4:00 PM, with Miss Anaswara, a dedicated faculty member, delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks. This event stands as a testament to Farook College's commitment to mental health awareness and the fight against substance abuse in our communities
