Department Profile
<p>Department of Psychology, Farook College started Undergraduate Programme in BSc Psychology in 2020 with Human Physiology and Psychological Statistics as the complementary courses. A variety of student-centered teaching and learning pedagogies are practiced in the form of seminars, experiential methodologies, laboratory trainings, conferences workshops, field-based studies and interactions with subject experts. The Department also offers complementary courses to BA Sociology and BBA Programmes. The Department has a Student Counselling Centre under the guidance and coordination of the Head of the Department which provide services like individual counselling and help the students in their day-to-day concerns and also enhance their overall functioning</p>

1 .PsychMic
PsychMic,
a brand new student initiative for discourses on a diverse number of topics and
issues within the social and psychological world; conducted by the student body
of the Farook College Psychology Department. The forum is a successfully
functioning activity that takes place virtually on a biweekly basis and is a
site of respectful intellectual dialogue between the participants. The
discussion forum has lended a safe and comfortable space for participants to
speak their thoughts and truth, find clarity and challenges; broaden their
concepts and grow their communicational and social skills.
