Farook College: The famous UAE writer and chief executive of Dar Al Yasmin for Publishing & Distribution, UAE Dr. Mariam Al Shenasi stated that language is a product of culture and it is a best cultural insignia on society. She was speaking while inaugurating the Pre-Conference Workshop held as part of the International Arabic Conference organized jointly by the P.G and Research Department of Arabic, Farook College (Autonomous) and Department of Arabic, University of Calicut on 'Universality of Arabic Language and Literature' on 10 January 2023 at the AVT, Farook College.

Fatma Al Mazrouei (Writer and Novelist, UAE), Dr. Khalid Al Kindi (Associate Professor, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman), Salem Al Rumaidhi (Poet, Kuwait), Dr. Nasser Al Hasani (Assistant Professor, Sharqiyah University, Oman), Dr. Fatma Al Mukhaini (Assistant Professor, Sharqiyah University, Oman) and Dr. Hedia Mcheikhi, Tunisia (Assistant Professor, Sharqiyah University, Oman) participated as chief guests.

Dr. Mariam Al Shenasi released 'Majallth Al Sabah lil Buhooth' Arabic Research Journal published by P.G and Research Department of Arabic, Farook College and Fatma Al Mazrouei released 'Mohamed Salah: A Journey Through Football' by Eritrean Short story writer Hashim Mahmoud and translated by Dr. Muhammed Abid U.P.

Dr. Mariam Al Shenasi delivered lecture on 'Should the novel be realistic in the era of globalization?', Fatma Al Mazrouei delivered lecture on 'Basics of Play Writing', Dr. Khalid Al Kindi delivered lecture on 'How to write a short story', Salem Al Rumaidhi delivered lecture on 'Introduction to Prosody', Dr. Nasser Al Hasani delivered lecture on 'The future of the Arabic language in the educational reality', Dr. Fatma Al Mukhaini delivered lecture on 'Common errors in the Arabic language' and Dr. Hedia Mcheikhi delivered lecture on 'Globalization and the future of the Arabic language' in the workshop.

Dr. Yunoos Salim (HOD, P.G and Research Department of Arabic, Farook College) presided over the session. Dr. A.B. Moideen Kutty, Dr. Abdul Majeed. TA and Dr. Abdul Jaleel also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Abbas K.P (Assistant Professor, Farook College & General Convenor, International Arabic Conference) welcomed the gathering and Dr. Muhammed Abid U.P (Assistant Professor, Farook College & Convenor, International Arabic Conference) proposed vote of thanks.
