The PG & Research Department of Zoology recently organized a special honouring ceremony to recognize and celebrate the exceptional achievement of our former student, Dr. Sandeep Das, on October 25, 2023. Dr. Das, who currently holds the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Calicut, was acknowledged for his remarkable publication in the prestigious journal Nature.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. A. P. Rashiba, setting a gracious tone for the ceremony. Dr. Aysha Swapna, who presided over the function, had the honour of presenting Dr. Sandeep Das with a memento as a token of love and appreciation for his outstanding contribution to the field. Dr. Kishore Kumar, the Head of the Department of Botany, took the stage to felicitate Dr. Sandeep Das, acknowledging his remarkable achievement. A

As a special highlight of the event, Dr. Sandeep Das delivered an insightful talk titled "Naturally Nature: A Deep Dive into Amphibian Diversity." His presentation shed light on the fascinating world of amphibians and their diverse ecology, offering a profound exploration of the subject.
