Multimedia Association Organised 'Festival De Likha, Transcendence Through Art'.

Since 2018, the department of multimedia at Farook College (autonomous) has been conducting a festival known as Festival De Likha, which is a celebration of diversity and versatility when it comes to culture and art in different forms. Edition 3 was conducted this year under the auspices of ‘Arcadia 2k22’ (Multimedia Students’ Association) on February 20, 21, and 22, 2023, with an innovative and unique theme, "Transcendence Through Art". An art exhibition was organised as part of the festival, through which students presented a vast variety of artistically curated works and imaginative creativity in the form of artistically presented ideologies.

Adv. P.A. Muhammad Riaz, Minister, Department of Public Works and Tourism, inaugurated the Festival De Likha on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Audio Visual Theatre. Anees Nadodi winner of the National Film Award for the best production design, inaugurated the Likha Art Exhibition on February 20, 2023, at the Haji A.P. Bava Convention Centre. He also interacted with the students at the Audio Visual Theatre after visiting the installation set up by the students.

On February 21, the department organised a panel discussion on 'Artificial Intelligence and Humans under the aegis of the Student Association. There was a debate on many aspects of the topic, including whether the unprecedented growth in the field of artificial intelligence is a threat or a benefit to humanity.

The inter-collegiate media fest that was held during the festival also became a platform for students around the state to showcase their talents in the field of media. There were a number of competitions that were organised as part of the media festival, such as reels, live reporting, a media quiz, face painting, logo design, photography, ad making, and the best academic project. A total cash prize of Rs. 50,000 awaiting winners was worth it. Students from Majlis College, Valancheri, won the overall trophy.

During the valedictory ceremony at Farook College Audio Visual Theatre on February 22, 2023, at 3 p.m., Muhashin, a debutant director, presented certificates and trophies to the competition winners.
