Farook College has been honored with the state's award for the best NSS activities for the year 2022-23. Dr. P. Rafeeque, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, received the State Award for Best Programme Officer. The award was given in recognition of his contributions to student personality development, career guidance, pain and palliative care, and disaster relief efforts. The college's initiative to involve students in the cultivation of various crops on a five-acre farm in Ekka Paramba, Kondotti, was also highlighted as a significant achievement. Additionally, the NSS unit of the college led the construction of a Snehabhavan (home of love) for a needy woman.

The college has implemented the United Nations' sustainable development programs and is committed to continuing these projects. The Principal, Dr. K.A. Aisha, stated that the college is dedicated to fostering socially responsible students and ensuring the continuation of these programs.
