The Post Graduate and Research Department of Statistics, Farook College (Autonomous) organized an Interdisciplinary Seminar for the first year Under Graduate students under DBT STAR College Scheme on 3rd August 2023. The topic of the seminar was Current Trends in Research. The seminar mainly aims at providing awareness about current research trends to the first year undergraduate students. The students of B.Sc Statistics, B.Sc Mathematics and B.Sc Computer Science participated in the seminar. In addition, some of the faculty members also attended the seminar.

The seminar started at 9:00 am at the Auditorium. Dr. Haritha N Haridas, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics welcomed the Resource Person. Dr. M. Manoharan, Senior Professor (Retired), Department of Statistics, University of Calicut was the Resource Person. He enlightened the students by explaining various steps of research. The seminar ended at 11:00 am with the vote of thanks by Mr. Rabeeb Ali V.P., Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics.
