'Festival De Likha' Art Biennale begins at Farook College (Autonomous)

KOZHIKODE: Blending the nuances of art and technology under one umbrella, the 'Festival De Likha' Art Biennale, organized by the Department of Multimedia at Farook College, began on a colourful note here.

Principal K.A. Aysha Swapna inaugurated the three-day event at the Parisons Hall. The annual festival is organized to nurture the creative and artistic talents of multimedia students and provide a platform to showcase them to the general public. Dr. Ajeena Rose, Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering.

Multimedia Department faculty members Musammil T.P., Arun V. Krishna, Shameem Ahsan K.T., and Silmiya Sulthana addressed the gathering.

Apart from the art exhibition, the biennale features diverse workshops and interactive sessions designed to aid the career prospects of students.

In the opening session held at the Audio Visual Theatre, Emil Hassan, Creative Director, Curb Studio, interacted with students on the topic 'A Small Guide to Big Things'. Subsequently, Moosa Rizvi, Lead Designer at Curb Studio, led a workshop on 'Brand Designing Through Typography' at the MMI Hall. The sessions provided insights into emerging trends in the design industry.

'Copycop', an Alternate Reality Game (ARG), offered a novel experience to the participants. T.M. Sreehari and P. Amrutha from the 'Storyn' platform led the gaming session. A pottery workshop organized by 'Plant Aura', introducing students to the aesthetics of clay modelling, was another highlight of the day.

Students and faculties from various campuses across Kerala are participating in the festival. The event will conclude on December 3.
