International Literacy Day Celebration: Awareness Talk on Cyber Crime

The District Women and Child Development, Kozhikode, in collaboration with the Department of Sociology and KWDC Women's Cell, Farook College (Autonomous), organized an International Literacy Day celebration on 9th October, 2024, at the AVT, Farook College. Dr. P. Badhariya Beegum, Chair Person and HOD of the Department of Sociology welcomed the gathering. The event was inaugurated by Dr. K.A. Aysha Swapna, Principal of Farook College. Sreejith S., Senior Civil Police Officer from the Cyber Crime Enquiry Cell, Kozhikode City Police, served as the key resource person, delivering an in-depth presentation on cyber crime, its impact, and preventive measures. Sabeena Beegum, District Women and Child Development Officer, also addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of cyber safety for women and children. The session was highly informative, providing participants with practical knowledge on how to safeguard themselves in the digital space. Abdul Haseeb, the student in the Sociology department proposed vote of thanks.
