Farook College Multimedia Department Celebrates World Photography Day

The Farook College Multimedia Department celebrated World Photography Day with a series of engaging programs. The event was inaugurated by College Principal Dr. K.A. Aysha Swapna. The chief guest, Mathrubhumi Senior News Photographer Sajan V. Nambiar, interacted with the students, sharing insights about the research and preparations he undertakes for various photography projects.

As part of the celebrations, a free photography workshop was organized for school students. The workshop was led by Multimedia teacher Arun V. Krishna, along with students Adil Latheef K, Shahada M., and Naja Bafakhi. Around 30 student-teachers from nearby colleges and schools participated in the workshop.

The event concluded on Wednesday with a session conducted by Damsas Marjan, an alumnus of the Multimedia department and a professional cruise photographer. In his session, Damsas Marjan explained the scope and challenges of cruise photography and offered support to students in securing high-level career opportunities.

The program was presided over by the Head of the Multimedia Department, Dr. Agina Rose. Teachers Muzammil T.P., Fabi C. Ismail, Amrita P., and Shamim Ahsan K.T. also addressed the gathering.
