In connection with the International Lecture Series, the PG and Research Department of English conducted a talk, "Echoes of the Past: Exploring Memories Through Poetry," by Ms. Sabeena Salam, Director, Institutional Effectiveness Faculty, General Education Requirements, Dubai Medical University, on August 21, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the UG Seminar Hall of the College.

Ms. Dilara M, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the programme welcomed the gathering, and Dr. K. Rizwana Sultana, Head of the Department, presided over it.

The talk was on an anthology of her poems, ‘Musing Memories’ written during the pandemic COVID-19 with a nostalgic note, and attempted to share sad and happy experiences. The speaker shared the memories connected with the poems she has written and helped the audience to relate and connect to the nostalgic memories they cherish. The talk expanded to different topics like family and nostalgia, medicine and health, wisdom and reflection, and nature and the mind.
