The Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area located in the state of Kerala, India. The sanctuary is spread over an area of 128 square kilometres and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. A two-day nature camp was organised in the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary by the Department of Multimedia in collaboration with the Kerala Forests and Wild Life Departments from January 6–8, 2023. The camp was aimed at promoting awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and biodiversity.
The two-day nature camp at the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary was a great success. The participants were able to appreciate the beauty and diversity of the sanctuary and also gain knowledge about the various ecological processes that are at work in the sanctuary. The nature camp was also able to promote awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and biodiversity. Overall, it was an enriching and enjoyable experience for all the participants.
42 students from the 5th semester of BA Multimedia attended the camp. Dr. Ajeena Rose (assistant professor and head), Musammil T.P. (assistant professor), and Hashir K.P. (technical assistant) accompanied the students. All the participants received participation certificates from the Wild Life Department.
As part of the journey, students also visited the Chithranjali Museum. The visit to the museum was an informative and engaging experience. The museum provided the students with a glimpse into the rich history of cinema and the evolution of the film industry over the years.
