On July 24, 2024, an induction programme for Journalism and Mass Communication students was held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Audio Visual Theater. The event featured MP Prashanth, Associate Editor of The New Indian Express, as the guest speaker, and was attended by Director Dr. PP Yousuf Ali, 30 students (10 boys and 20 girls), and 4 faculty members. The programme commenced with introductory remarks by Maureen T P, who outlined the course objectives. MP Prashanth then delivered an engaging talk on the evolving landscape of journalism, media's societal role, and career prospects. The session included a lively Q&A, where Prashanth addressed students' queries on media ethics, career opportunities, and digital transformation. Dr. PP Yousuf Ali wrapped up the event by summarizing key points and encouraging students to actively pursue their studies and internships.
