The Department of Geology, Farook College (Autonomous), Kozhikode, in collaboration with the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), Kerala Region, Thiruvananthapuram, conducted CGWB’s Tier III Training Programme on " Ground Water Development & Management Practices " on October 16, 2024, at the Diamond Jubilee Hall of Farook College. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Aysha Swapna K.A, Principal of Farook College (Autonomous), Kozhikode.

Smt. Bindu J. Viju (Chemist, CGWB) welcomed the gathering, followed by a presidential address from Smt. S. Saritha (Senior Scientist, CGWB). Dr. Kavitha A.P. (HoD, Department of Geology) and Dr. Babeesh C. (Assistant Professor, Department of Geology) offered their felicitations. The training included seven technical sessions and a practical session on groundwater hydrogeology. Dr. V.S.T. Gopinath, Sc.D. (Geophysicist, CGWB), concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
