The Prof. M. Gopinath Memorial Award ceremony held this year was indeed an event of great diversity and a memorable event, in which the Association of Retired Teachers of Farook College (ART) extended a helping hand to a most deserving Differently Abled Student of the College. A Powered Wheel Chair was awarded to Mr. Nishan of the II Semester BA Economics class as part of the sustenance award, sponsored by Jilass Greens. Prof. Dr. K M Naseer, the Principal of Farook College, Dr. Lakshmi Jithendran and Mr. Jithendran, both Directors of Jilass Greens, presented the Powered Wheel Chair to Mr. Nishan.

As a part of the Best Students' Award ceremony, the Principal presented the award to Mohammed Mahazook, P.K. in the M.Sc. Mathematics programme; and to Shahana, P.T. in the BSc. Mathematics programme. The former head of the Department of Mathematics, Prof. T. Kunheedu, presented the details of the Best Student Awards and the process of selecting the winners. As the head of the Department of Mathematics, Dr. Mohammed Nishad Maniparambath, introduced the Awardees and their capabilities in his remarks.

The Secretary of the ART, Professor Dr. Abdur Rasheed, K M, welcomed the gathering, and Prof. M. Ravindran, the President, presided over the function. The Prof. Gopinath Memorial Lectures were delivered by Prof. Mohamed Hassan and Prof. A. Abdul Latheef.

The CTO of Blubirch - Reverse Inventory Management, Bangalore and the Director- Jilass Greens and S/o of Prof. M. Gopinath, Mr. Jithendran C.K., gave the felicitations. The function came to a close with the Vote of Thanks by the Joint Secretary, Prof. A Shajahan.
