'Password 2022-23': One Day Career Guidance & Counselling Programme

The School of Social Science, Farook College (Autonomous) organised 'Password 2022-23': One Day Career Guidance & Counselling Programme on 13-02-2023 in association with the Directorate of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala.
The aim of the programme was to create awareness among the students of social sciences about the various options for higher studies and emerging opportunities in job market. The programme had two technical sessions. Faculty members from various departments and about 101 students participated in the programme.
The inaugural session began with the welcome address by Dr. Mohammed Kasim C., Chairperson, School of Social Sciences. Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Abdul Hameed S.V., Director, Directorate of Academics, Farook college. Sri. A. Suresh, Vice Chairman, Ramanatukara Municipality inaugurated the programme. Dr. P.P. Abdul Razak, Principal, Coaching Centre for Minority Youth, gave a brief description of the project. Dr. Aysha Swapna K.A., IQAC Coordinator, and Mr. Muhammed Rasheed P., Council Secretary offered felicitations. Dr. Anaz C.A., Assistant Professor, Department of History proposed the vote of thanks for the Inaugural session.
Session I
In the first session, Ranjith Kumar A.P., Assistant Professor, CKGM Govt. College, discussed the Topic How to Prepare for Competitive Examinations. He elaborated various strategies and methods which can be used by the students to prepare for the competitive exams like, UPSC, SSC, PSC etc... Students actively participated in the discussions and raised their queries.
Session II
In the second session Sri. Rajeevan P., District Employment Officer & Manager of Career development centre, Kozhikode made a presentation on ‘Higher Studies Options for the Students of Social Sciences’. He has elaborated on various career opportunities available for the students of social sciences in both public and private sector.
