Padma Shri. Dr. AzadMoopen who is also an Alumnus of Farook College inaugurated 'Dr. Moopen's Computer Science Block'- an academic block fully funded by M/s. Dr.Moopen Family Foundation, Kozhikode on Monday, 19-09-2022 at the Yousuf Al-Saqer Auditorium. The block is constructed as a project of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Farook College Autonomous. 

Mr. P.K. Ahamed (President, Farook College Managing Committee) presided over the function. Dr. K.M. Naseer (Principal, Farook College) delivered introductory speech. Shri. P.V. Abdul Wahab (Member of Rajya Sabha), Mr. C.P. Kunhi Mohammed (Manager, Farook College Managing Committee), Dr. Ali Faisal (Joint Secretary-Farook College Managing Committee), Mr. K.Kunhalavi (Vice President-Farook College Managing Committee) and Adv. M. Muhammed delivered felicitation address. Dr. V. Kabeer extended vote of Thanks.

സാര്‍വ്വ ദേശീയ തലത്തില്‍ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മേഖലയില്‍ സംഭവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ക്കനുസൃതമായി സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മേഖലയിലും മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ അനിവാര്യമാണെന്ന് പത്മശ്രീ ഡോ. ആസാദ് മൂപ്പന്‍ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. ഓരോ 10 വര്‍ഷം കഴിയുമ്പോഴും നിലവില്‍ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ജോലികള്‍ കാലഹരണപ്പെടുന്ന രീതിയിലേക്കാണ് ടെക്‌നോളജി കുതിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് ഉദാഹരണ സഹിതം അദ്ധേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ഇതനുസരിച്ച് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളെ മുന്നോട്ട് നയിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കണം.

ഫാറൂഖ് കോളേജില്‍ അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ പേരില്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഡോ. മൂപ്പന്‍സ് കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ സയന്‍സ് ബ്ലോക്ക് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്ത് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളുമായി സംവദിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ധേഹം. ചടങ്ങില്‍ മാനേജിങ് കമ്മറ്റി പ്രസിഡണ്ട് പി.കെ. അഹമ്മദ് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. പ്രിന്‍സിപ്പാള്‍ ഡോ. കെ.എം. നസീര്‍ ആമുഖ ഭാഷണം നടത്തി. പി.വി. അബ്ദുല്‍ വഹാബ് എം.പി., മാനേജര്‍ സി.പി. കുഞ്ഞിമുഹമ്മദ്, ജോയിന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി ഡോ. അലി ഫൈസല്‍, വൈസ് പ്രസിഡണ്ട് കെ. കുഞ്ഞലവി, അഡ്വ. എം. മുഹമ്മദ് എന്നിവര്‍ സംസാരിച്ചു. കോളേജ് കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ സയന്‍സ് വിഭാഗം മേധാവി ഡോ. വി. കബീര്‍ നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞു.
