Orientation programme for the first year UG Students and their parents was held at Convention Centre on 29th August 2022.The programme began with the inaugural speech by Jb: P.K. Ahamed, President- Farook College, Management Committee in which he reiterated the commitment and vision of the college. He also released Scholarship Handbook 2022. Jb. C. P. Kunhimuhamed, Manager, Farook College, Management Committee addressed the new entrants and briefed them on what Farook College is doing for the community and nation at large.

Ms. Jisna Rahman and Ms. Femina who are fellowship Winners under Woman Scientist Scheme were honoured by  Jb: P.K. Ahamed and Jb. C. P. Kunhimuhamed, respectively.

In the speech that followed Dr. K.M. Naseer, Principal of Farook College, elaborately informed the students and parents about the history, establishment and legacy of this noble institution. He spoke at length about what awaits the students at Farook College. He briefed them on the higher education challenges and how students will have ample opportunity to pursue their goals. He urged them to have a dynamic and meaningful association with every venture at the campus.

Dr. V. Kabeer (Controller of Examinations & Head, Dept. of Computer Science), Mr. P Muhammad Rasheed (College Council, Secretary, Head, Dept of Economics), Dr. M. Abdul Jabbar (Head, Dept of Hindi & Teacher in Charge- Scholarship,), Dr. J.A. Noushad (Academic Council Secretary & Head, Dept. of Commerce), Dr. P.P. Yusufali (Director, Self-Financing Division, Farook College), Captain. Dr. P. Abdul Azees(NCC Officer), Lt. Dr. A.T. Abdul Jabbar (Naval Officer) and Lt. Dr. Sreekala. M. S (NCC Officer- Girls Wing) were present on the occasion in addition to the faculty, staff and students.

The welcome address was rendered by Dr. Abdul Hameed S. V., PTA Secretary & Head, Dept of Zoology and the  vote of thanks was offered by Dr. K. A. Aysha Swapna, Coordinator, IQAC, Farook College.
