Farook College, known for its rich educational legacy of 75 years in Malabar, welcomes the appointment of Dr. K.A. Aysha Swapna as its new principal. Dr. Aysha, an esteemed Associate Professor from the English Department, joins as the 13^th principal in the college's illustrious history. She takes over the reins from the retiring principal, Dr. K.M. Naseer.

Dr. K.A. Aysha Swapna embarked on her journey at Farook College on June 4, 2008, when she joined as an assistant professor in the English Department. Prior to her tenure at Farook College, she served as a lecturer at the prestigious SAFI Institute of Advanced Studies in Vazhayur. Hailing from Ernakulam, Dr. Aysha completed her graduation from St. Teresa's College, Ernakulam, and pursued her MA in English Literature from Maharaja's College, Ernakulam, in 1995. She further obtained her B.Ed. from Calicut University in 2004 and successfully earned her Ph.D. from the University of Calicut in 2017. Throughout her academic career, she has authored and edited numerous articles, showcasing her passion and expertise in her field.

Dr. Aysha Swapna's appointment marks a significant milestone for Farook College, as her leadership brings a fresh perspective and a new era of progress. Recognising her exceptional qualifications, dedication, and unwavering commitment to education, the college community has placed their trust in her capable hands. Outside of her professional achievements, Dr. Aysha Swapna is the daughter of architect Amanullah and Fathimabi, hailing from Thrissur, Annamanada. Her husband, Dr. C.K. Maqbool, holds the position of principal at J.D.T. Islam College of Arts and Science. Together, they have two children named Adnan and Afrin.

As Dr. Aysha Swapna assumes her role as the new principal, the Farook College community eagerly looks forward to the positive changes and advancements she will bring. Dr. M. Abdul Jabbar, the Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Hindi, and Dr. E.K. Sajith, an esteemed Associate Professor from the Department of Arabic, have officially assumed their roles as Vice Principals of Farook College today.
