Biography
Naseeha C.P., born on December 11, 1984, in Puthuppady, Kozhikode district, has been in the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany since September 30, 2014. She earned her undergraduate degree from Providence Women’s College, Kozhikode, followed by a postgraduate degree from St. Joseph’s College, Devagiri, Kozhikode. She also completed her B.Ed. at the Government College of Teacher Education, Kozhikode.
Ms. Naseeha served as the NSS Programme Officer from 2018 to 2021, during which she was awarded the Best NSS Programme Officer Award for two consecutive academic years, 2019–2020 and 2020–2021, in recognition of her exemplary service in coordinating NSS activities. She also served as the secretary of Women's Cell, Farook College since 2022. She currently serves as the coordinator of Strokes, the artists’ club of the college, promoting artistic expression among students.
Her research interests are focused on stress physiology and the phytochemistry of medicinal plants. In addition to her academic work, Naseeha has diverse interests that include music, painting, reading, gardening, botanical illustration, photography, botanical art and flower arrangement. Her work in botanical art and photography reflects a deep appreciation for plant life, blending scientific knowledge with creative expression.
