  • Accreditation at Five Star level by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), in 2001.
  • Re-accreditation at ‘A’ Grade with a CGPA of 3.34 by the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC), in 2009
  • Conferment of the status of College with Potential for Excellence by UGC , the first college to recieve the status under the University of Calicut.
  • Conferment of Autonomous Status by the UGC in 2015 : The University Grant Commission, New Delhi granted Autonomous Status to Farook College for a period of six years from 2015-16 to 2020-21 on the recommendation of the committee constituted by the UGC under the chairmanship of Prof. Supama Guptu, Director, Gandhian Studies Centre, University of Calcutta.
  • NAAC re-accreditation at A+ level in 2016 with a CGPA of 3.51 on a 4 point scale.
Awards and Recognitions
  • Campus Diversity Initiative grant from Ford Foundation : As a token of its commitment to the cause of higher education, the college was selected by the Ford Foundation, New York, to receive a major grant under its project Campus Diversity Initiative. Farookcollege was the only one in the state and one of the few in the country to receive the grant.
  • R. Shankar Award instituted by the government of Kerala for the best special grade (Private) college in the state of kerala in 1997 - 98, 1999 - 2000
  • Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Literacy Award instituted by Moulana Azad Education Foundation, New Delhi, under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India for promoting education among the educationally backward minorities.
  • Conferment of Minority Status by The National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Govt, of India.
  • E-Campus Award 2014-15 instituted by the University of Calicut for the affiliated arts and science colleges in recognition of its commendable achievements in terms of excellence in e-govemance and technology use in Education and Management.
  • Selection by NIRF in 2020 to the one among the 100 colleges in the country.
  • Recognition from NPTEL as a valuable local chapter with rating of 'AAA' and as 'Best LC in Arts,Science and Commerce category' among the top 100 rated local chapters based on performance in NPTEL online certification courses Jan-Dec 2020.
  • Farook College continued to secure a position in the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) 2021 ranking list of top 100 colleges in India.
