Biography
Dr. Subin Prakash R. earned his PhD from the University of Madras with the prestigious DST Inspire Fellowship from New Delhi. He achieved the first rank in MSc Geology at the University of Madras in 2013. He has five years of research experience as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF), specializing in sedimentology and paleomagnetism. In addition to his work at the University of Madras, he has furthered his research in paleomagnetism at the National Center for Earth Science Studies (NCESS) in Trivandrum. After submitting his PhD thesis, he served as a petrological analyst at KMML (Kerala Minerals and Metals Limited), under the Government of Kerala. He is currently a member of the Academic Council for BSCG - Geology at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Study Center (11402), Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kochi. He has presented and participated in various research papers in international and national conferences and has been recognized as a resource person at various colleges in Kerala. Dr. Subin has received several national and state awards, as well as merit scholarships, during his PhD and master's studies. He has published multiple research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals. His research expertise encompasses sedimentary petrology, sediment geochemistry, paleomagnetism, and paleoclimate studies. Since 2023, Dr. Subin Prakash has been working as an assistant professor (c) in the Department of Geology at Farook College (Autonomous) in Kozhikode, Kerala.
