Biography
Sapphire Mahmood Ahmed is currently serving as Assistant Professor (on contract) at Farook College. She was pursuing PhD, researching on fan fictions, as a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of English, Farook College (Autonomous), and has submitted her thesis in August 2024. Her paper, " Digitalised Response: Understanding Digital Literary Spaces in the light of Kesgava Guha's Accidental Magic" is published in iafor Journal of arts & humanities (Vol. 10,2023). Her paper, “Theorizing Magic: An Analysis of the Nature of Time-Travel in Select Harry Potter Novels” was published in the peer-reviewed journal Singularities (ISSN 2348-3369). She has also presented research papers in four international conferences organized by IAFOR (Japan), Loughborough University (UK), English and Foreign Language University (Hyderabad), The Bhopal School of Social Sciences and O. P. Jindal Global University. Her area of interest includes children’s literature, reader-response theories and psychoanalysis.
