Haneen C. U. is a Lecturer in the Department of English (SF) at Farook College. She holds an MA in English from the University of Delhi and a BA English Honors from Jamia Millia Islamia Central University, both completed with distinction and first class. She has qualified the UGC-NET in December 2022 cycle, Her research interests lie in violence and memory studies, an area she pursued through a dedicated dissertation course at the University of Delhi. Her academic work includes a study of trauma, pain, and nostalgia across forced and voluntary diasporas in the writing of Salman Rushdie and Rafeef Ziadah, and an analysis of carnivalesque violence in the Malayalam film Thallumaala (2022). Alongside her academic work, she worked as an active translator and writer across English and Malayalam, contributing to platforms including Utharakaalam and publications such as Aaramam.
