Dr T R Sobha completed MSc Zoology (1993), B, Ed Natural science (1994) M.Phil (1996) and Ph.D (2000) from Calicut University. She has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Zoology, at Farook College since 2010. Previously, she had 8 years of teaching experience as a guest faculty in various institutions, viz., Govt College, Kottayam, SAFI Institute of Advanced Studies, Vazhayoor and KKTM, College, Kodungallur. She is a recognised research guide. at the University of Calicut and presently 4 scholars are doing research under her guidance. Her areas of research interest are Acarology, Entomology, Biodiversity & Wildlife Biology. She has written 3 chapters in edited books and nearly 32 publications in various national, international and proceedings of national seminars. She has attended and presented papers in various national and international seminars and conferences during her academic career at Farook College. She also did one month of international training at the University of Sao-Paulo, Brazil in 2008. Presently, she serve as a member of various academic and administrative bodies in the college.
