Sahadudheen completed his M.A. in Applied Economics (2011) and M.Phil. in Economics (2012) from Pondicherry Central University. He has awarded merit scholarships for both the M.A. and M.Phil. programmes and has qualified for the UGC-NET for eligibility for the lectureship held on June 26th, 2011. He is currently nearing completion of his Ph.D. from the School of Management Studies, CUSAT. He has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Farook College (Autonomous) since 2016. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Calicut University Centre, Lakshadweep.

He has published articles in various national and international journals such as the Economic Review (Illinois Wesleyan University Journal, USA), the Journal of Asian Finance, Economics, and Business (Korea), Resource Policy (Elsevier), the Annals of Financial Economics (Scientific Publishers), and the Indian Economic Journal (Sage). His major areas of interest include open economy macroeconomics, energy economics and finance, financial economics, and human development. He is teaching statistical methods for economics at the undergraduate level and econometrics at the postgraduate level.
