The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) at Farook College (Autonomous), Kozhikode, is dedicated to fostering a vibrant research culture in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences. This committee plays a pivotal role in guiding and supporting faculty and student researchers, promoting an academic environment aligned with the college’s vision of impactful, ethical, and innovative scholarship. Through strategic guidance, funding facilitation, and upholding rigorous research standards, the RAC advances quality research across disciplines.
OBJECTIVES

Promote Research Excellence: Encourage high-quality, original research that contributes significantly to academic and societal advancement.

Support Emerging Researchers: Provide guidance and mentorship to early-career researchers, helping them develop strong research skills and ethical standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The RAC oversees essential aspects of the research process, including:

Admissions to the Ph.D. programme

Monitoring the progress of research scholars

Approving changes in research topics

Managing conversions between part-time, full-time, JRF, and SRF roles
-
Reviewing pre-submission of theses

Coordinating the open defense and its proceedings
