Dr. Yoosuf Ameen M joined PG & Research Department of Physics, Farook College (Autonomous) as Assistant Professor on June 6, 2019. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from National Institute of Technology Calicut in 2018. Dr. Yoosuf earned B.Sc. in Physics from M.E.S. Mampad College, Mampad, Malappuram in 2006 and he completed his master's in Physics from The Cochin College, Cochin in 2008. Dr. Yoosuf's doctoral research focused on the Effect of Transition Metal Oxide Anode Buffer Layers on the Stability and Efficiency of Small Molecular Bilayer and Polymer Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells. He was awarded Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) Fellowship by Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for undertaking six months research internship at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), USA. During his research stay at LANL he worked on Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) Growth of 2D and 3D Perovskite Films for Solar Cell Applications. Dr. Yoosuf's areas of research include Organic Solar Cells, Perovskite Solar Cells and Organic Semiconductor Nanostructures for Photovoltaic Applications.
