She joined Farook College on 01 December 1987 as a Junior Lecturer in Physics.

She earned her M.Phil & Ph.D in Physics from Cochin University of Science & Technology in 2000 and 2008 respectively under FIP of UGC.

She conducted a UGC Minor Research Project entitled PROPAGATION OF TWO DIMENSIONAL SPATIAL SOLITONS IN GRADED-INDEX KERR MEDIA in 2009.

Four research scholars, K.Aysha Muhsina, T.P.Suneera, K.Usha, N.M.Muzammil, have secured Ph.D's under her research supervision from the University of Calicut. Currently, four research scholars are conducting research under her guidance.

Throughout her service period, she undertook duties as a Farook College Governing Council Member; Head of the Department of Physics; Coordinator of Research Promotion Council; Member, Planning Board; and Member, IQAC.

She retired from the College as a Professor on 31.05.2020
