Raghu Rai Memorial Young Photographer Award 2026
As part of the International Photography Day 2026 Celebrations, the Department of Multimedia, Farook College (Autonomous), announces the Raghu Rai Memorial Young Photographer Award 2026 to recognise and encourage emerging documentary photographers from Kerala.
The award is open to photographers aged 20–35 years who demonstrate exceptional vision, creativity and storytelling ability through News/Documentary Photography.
Entry Guidelines
- Applicants must be from Kerala and aged between 20 and 35 years.
- A maximum of three photographs may be submitted by each applicant.
- Photographs must belong to the News/Documentary Photography category.
- Photographs already published in newspapers, magazines, websites or social media platforms are eligible for consideration.
- Photographs captured using mobile phones will not be considered.
- AI-generated images, staged photographs and photographs subjected to heavy digital manipulation are not eligible.
- Basic corrections such as cropping, exposure, colour, contrast and sharpening are permitted.
- All entries must be the applicant’s original work.
- Each photograph should be accompanied by a brief caption mentioning the location, date and context, wherever relevant.
- Entries must be submitted by 19 September 2026 to [email protected] with the subject line “Young Photographer Award 2026”.
- Applicants should include their name, age, contact number, email address and place in Kerala.
