<p><img alt="" src="https://farookcollege.ac.in/imgserver/uploads/attachments/Ed__6c18c072-10f0-40fd-b7a3-d6022732d3b1_.png" style="height:100%; width:100%" /></p> <p>The Department of Hindi at Farook College (Autonomous) was established in 1948 with the aim of promoting the study and use of Hindi language in Kerala, India. </p> <p>As a second language in higher education institutions, Hindi has significant importance in India. It is the fourth most spoken language in the world and is the primary language of communication in many parts of North India. Additionally, Hindi is the official language of the Indian government, and proficiency in Hindi is essential for various job opportunities in the public sector.</p> <p>Studying Hindi as a second language not only enhances students' linguistic abilities but also provides them with insights into Indian culture, history, and society. It opens up avenues for students to explore diverse fields like literature, media, translation, and diplomacy.</p> <p>In summary, the Department of Hindi at Farook College plays a crucial role in promoting the study and use of Hindi language and culture in Kerala and preparing students for the demands of the modern world.</p>
