Geology is the multidisciplinary science that studies the Earth’s structure and substances, the history of rocks and the various endogenous and exogenous processes that act on them. This discipline of science also deals with origins and development of landscapes, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, glaciers, groundwater resources and the interaction between humans and the planets. All this information is crucial and helps them to understand the reasons behind climate change and its consequences. Geology involves methods and knowledge from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
